SRI PANAKALALAKSHMI NARASIMHA SWAMY Temple
is located on the hills at Mangalagiri in
Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh
State in India. It is one of the prominent temples of South India.
Loard Sri Panakala Laksmi NARASIMHA
SWAMY, as per epics consumed Amrutam (Nectar) in Kritayuga, Milk in
Dwaparayuga ,Ghee in Thretayuga and taking Panakam (Jaggery water) in
Kaliyugam. Hence ,the Lord in Kaliyuga is known by the name PANAKALA LAKSMI
NARASIMHA SWAMY. The Lord consumes half of the quantity of panakam offered
and leaves the rest to his devotees as Prasadam.
The temple of the Lord is situated
on the hill and steps numbered upto 463 were constructed during olden days.
Hundreds of devotees in normal days and thousands during festive season
visit this place from all corners of India.
Much difficulty is experienced by
the devotees to reach the temple by steps and there is a long pending
demand for a GHAT ROAD.
A proposal has been worked out
for construction of the GHAT ROAD with an estimated cost of Rupees 1.25
Crores. If the temple could provide Rupees 42 Lakhs as its share ,the
Government would provide the remaining amount. It was permitted by the
Government to collect donations voluntarily.
Hence, it is proposed to collect
donations from the devotees .The devotees are requested to contribute
amount for the purpose of ghat road. It is proposed to inscribe the names of
the Donors on the Entry Gate of the Ghat Road ,who donates Rupees 50,116/-
or more.
The donations will be accepted in
the form of Cheque / Draft in the name of
